WaterSense Demonstrations EPA WaterSense Program

WaterSense is a partnership program sponsored by EPA that seeks to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by offering people a simple way to use less water with water-efficient products, new homes, and services. Since the program’s inception in 2006, WaterSense has helped consumers save 287 billion gallons of water and more than $4.7 billion in water and energy bills.

WaterSense offers an easy-to-identify label for high-quality products that use about 20 percent less water.  Each WaterSense labeled product and new home must be third-party certified as meeting EPA’s stringent water savings and performance criteria. WaterSense is a voluntary collaboration between the EPA and the many organizations and individuals who have partnered with the program such as manufacturers, builders, retailers, utilities, state and local governments, and nonprofit organizations.

The WaterSense label can be found on residential toilets, bathroom faucets, and showerheads, as well as flushing urinals, weather-based irrigation controllers, and new homes.
